SSL Certificate
You can identify a site with an SSL certificateSSL CertificateAn SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates a website by the padlock icon next to the URL in the browser bar and the “https://” prefix (instead of “http://”).
SSL keeps internet connections secure and prevents criminals from reading or modifying information transferred between two systems. It is also a ranking factor for Google; sites without SSL are penalized in search results and may show a “Not Secure” warning to users.
